A review paper by R. Albert and A. Barabasi that is quite recent on the statistical mechanics of networks. Mostly statistics on topology. "Statistical mechanics of complex networks" (2002).
A paper by Zoltan Dezso and A. Barabasi concluding that biased treatment policies towards the hubs are more successful and cost-effective than random immunization. "Halting viruses in scale-free networks" (2002).
This paper by X. F. Wang reviews some important results in the field of complex networks, with emphasis on the relationship between their dynamics and
topology. Main network models are introduced, including regular, random,
small-world and scale-free models. The robustness of connectivity and
the epidemic dynamics in complex networks are also evaluated. "Complex Networks: Topology, Dynamics and Synchronization" (2002).
A paper by Yamir Moreno Vega, et al. that analyzes the SIR model on
complex heterogeneous networks as well as several immunization
strategies that can be developed in order to fight and/or reduce virus
incidence in these complex networks. "Epidemic outbreaks in complex
heterogeneous networks" (2002).

A paper by M. Newman, S. Forrest, and J. Balthrop that analyzes the
structure of computer networks as social networks defined by their
users' email address books. "Email networks and the
