Current Positions:

Director of Department of Homeland Security Center of Excellence CCICADA: Command, Control and Interoperability Center for Advanced Data Analysis.

CCICADA was founded as a DHS Center of Excellence in 2009 and is a consortium of Alcatel-Lucent Bell Labs, AT & T Labs- Research, Carnegie Mellon, The City College of New York, Geosemble Technologies, Howard University, Morgan State University, Princeton University, Regal Decision Systems, Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, Rutgers University (Lead Institution), Telcordia Technologies, Texas Southern University, Tuskegee University, University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, University of Massachusetts-Lowell, University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey (UMDNJ), University of Southern California.

Director Emeritus and Special Advisor of DIMACS, Center for Discrete Mathematics and Theoretical Computer Science.

DIMACS was founded as an NSF "science and technology center" in 1988 and is a consortium of Rutgers and Princeton Universities, AT&T Labs, Bell Labs (Lucent Technologies), Cancer Institute of NJ, NEC Laboratories America and Telcordia Technologies. Affiliate Members: Avaya Labs, Georgia Institute of Technology, HP Labs, IBM Research, Microsoft Research, Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute and Stevens Institute of Technology. I was Acting Director in 1991 and again in 1992-93 and then Director from January 1996 to August 2011, and interim director from November 2018 to December 2019.

Distinguished Professor, Department of Mathematics, Rutgers University, New Brunswick, NJ.

Fellow of RUTCOR, Rutgers Center for Operations Research, New Brunswick, NJ.

Member of Graduate Faculties in Mathematics, Operations Research, Computer Science, Computational Molecular Biology, Computational Biology and Molecular Biophysics, Education, and Industrial and Systems Engineering at Rutgers University.

Mathematical models in the social, behavioral, biological, epidemiological, and environmental sciences and of problems of communications and transportation; theory of measurement; homeland security and in particular stadium and large venue security, natural disasters, maritime cyber security, and homeland security aspects of global environmental change; utility, decision making and social choice; resilience; socially responsible algorithms; applications of graph theory; supply chains; mathematical psychology; precollege education.
