Actually, I'm not a graduate student and so do not meet your criteria to apply. In fact, I've held the rank of Professor at a university for a quarter of a century. The recommendation/mentor categories don't seem to apply to me. I know it's a long shot, but I put my name in the hopper just to see if the selection committee was willing to let a faculty member come, even for just the first week (when it sounds like fewer grad students will attend). I'm paying my own transportation, so I really wouldn't be taking resources away from others. If the committee decides it wants to consider my application, I would be happy to submit whatever additional material they wish. The following pieces are missing from your application: 1. Recommendation Letter from a Faculty Member http://dimacs.rutgers.edu/Workshops/AIMS/recommender.html 2. Recommendation Letter from a Faculty Mentor - this would be someone you would be collaborating with on research after the Institute is over http://dimacs.rutgers.edu/Workshops/AIMS/mentor.html Note: If the recommender and mentor are the same person they may submit a combined recommendation/mentor letter. Please make sure they upload the letter under the Faculty Mentor letter of support heading. Since the deadline for applications was yesterday, please make sure you submit these missing requirements by Wednesday, February 14th because the Selection Committee will be reviewing the applications immediately after Wednesday. Note 2: Since you are missing your Mentor and Faculty Member letters, please contact them to make sure their letters are in to me as soon as possible.
